Winter Ice Skating!
We are trying to stretch out the very last of our Christmas break fun by spending our last night of vacation on the outdoor ice skating rink!
It’s been YEARS since I’ve been on the ice and it’s not quite like riding a bike! I was a little rusty on my skating skills. The older kids were off doing their own thing so it was just Rick and I with the little ones. They haven’t skated much, so if one of them was going down….. it just about took me right with them! I was amazed at all the little, looked like 9 year old boys in hockey skates buzzing around so fast! Crazy.
But so much fun that we didn’t even get any pictures, until we were leaving, with no skates on!
Who am I kidding, I wouldn’t have been able to snap a picture and skate at the same time anyway.
I can’t believe another Christmas has come and gone. School begins today, back to a good solid routine, and lots to look forward to in the year 2014! Even January can be fun if you have a good project ahead of you! My plans include my new miter saw that I got for my birthday, OH the fun I’m going to have! More on that later.
