A MISSIONARY SUNDAY
Last Sunday was so much fun for us! First, we had the opportunity to attend church at a ward about 45 minutes from home, to listen to one of Sam’s mission companions as he reported home from his mission.
Elder Miller.
So cool.
It was so good to meet him and for me to personally thank him for all he did for Sam.

This is one of the last pictures of them together just before leaving Chicago to come home.
I couldn’t get over looking at him, and not seeing Sam next to him. It was really fun to meet someone who so recently had been with my son who I miss so much. What a great guy.
Lets just think about that for a moment, because that’s all I have to say about it, but it doesn’t describe the enormity of joy that I had in my heart over meeting him.
🙂
After that, we raced back over the mountain to see our dear friend Nati report home from her mission. Time really does fly, seems like she just left. Such a good friend.
She served in Peru.
Both of these missionaries carry such a sweet spirit with them and glow with the Light of Christ! These kids who “give up” two years of their lives to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ are not giving up anything.
Consider Matt. 19:29,
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.
