FALL FASHION MUST HAVES FOR 2018
Oh Autumn how I have missed you!
The leaves are changing, the sun is setting earlier, the morning air is crisp, and it’s time to change up our closet. Yes!!! As I see it, Fall weather is the best weather to dress for. So in my humble opinion, here are some Fall fashion must haves for 2018!
FALL WARDROBE STAPLES
The perfect layering piece under sweaters, jackets, and can be worn alone also. Don’t spend a lot on this. You can get them anywhere at a good price. This one is only $10 from Target.
Another layering staple is the striped top that is an absolute Fall fashion must have for 2018 or any year! Stripes are not going out of style any time soon, and this one won’t set you back much either.
This will not only give you a little extra warmth, but will take your outfit up a notch in a pretty way! It’s the power of three. The third item always makes for a more interesting outfit. This one from Old Navy is super affordable for the amount of wear you will get!
FASHION DOESN’T HAVE TO BE EXPENSIVE
I don’t know… this is your call. I have a real leather jacket that I wear for warmth on the motorcycle. But for fashion, I prefer any old great looking faux! Plus you can save your money for other things and still look great! This one has a cute peplum detail in the back and is under $50.
If you prefer real leather then you might as well get a good one and THIS one is perfect! I would settle for it in black or caramel. Either one makes a gorgeous Fall statement!
Now you might be thinking this one isn’t for you, but when I got my first pair from Nordstrom it made me a believer! Imagine with an oversized sweater, shirt dress, or tunic and tucked into some knee length boots! So cute!
Just like the black long sleeve tee, everyone needs a white one too! These will make your wardrobe go further by layering underneath anything from jackets to sleeveless dresses. Again, don’t spend a lot of money here. This one from Gap is only $10!
You’ll wear these all season long! Black jeans are a no brainer. I look for the ones with not too much distressing above the knee.
Maybe you prefer your denim without the rips? In that case, this pair from Old Navy would suit you perfectly!
What a classic staple coat the Trench is! It has such a polished look about it for professionals, and yet looks fabulous while running errands. This one from Kohls would fit either occasion!
Of course, a list of Fall fashion must haves for 2018 would not be complete without the classic denim jacket! Will it ever go out of style?? I don’t think so.
Weather it’s a blouse, a sweater, or a cardigan, balloon sleeves are the statement sleeve for this season! Get at least one! They add a feminine touch to almost any outfit and create visual interest in such an appealing way.
The bomber jacket takes me back to my childhood and makes me think of Grease, but hey! It’s back and just as cute as ever! They are lightweight and can be found in almost any color. So cute over jeans and a tshirt.
Animal print anything! SShoes, jackets, belts, scarves, or blazers; whichever you choose, you can be sure that you are adding a touch of class to your outfit! Animal print is still going strong! Everything you see here is age appropriate, yes, even the leather leggings can be worn in a stylish and classy way.
I am not suggesting that you go out and buy everything on this list that you do not have. They are mostly staple pieces that won’t go out of style too soon. So pick one or two items up as you feel you have the budget for it and for goodness sake, don’t look past the thrift store! I can’t tell you how many unique and wonderful items I have found there with the tags still on!
Oh…. and for the record, there are two other “must haves” that I’ve forgotten to mention. They are 1) A big smile; and 2) A positive attitude. There. That’s what will make you truly beautiful!!!
