Ultimate Rice Krispie Treats
//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js
Let me just say right now, I love Rice Krispie Treats anyway, but covered in caramel and two different kinds of chocolate?!
Heaven.
I made these last weekend to take to a graduation party for my college graduate brother,
(Scotty – you the MASTER!)
and I’m so glad because if I didn’t take them with me somewhere, I would have eaten the whole pan!
And yes…I would have fought the children for the very last one. 🙂
Just kidding.
Not really.
This is the kind of treat that you should make yourself as a reward or a treat for doing something that you really hate to do, or that’s really hard for you, like getting your yearly check if ya know what I mean, or cleaning out the freezer.
Or making dinner for crying out loud.
It makes a large batch, so take it to a bbq, graduation party, or be sure you have some people around to share them with!
Treat yourself to a little bit of heaven…
I’m pretty sure you deserve it! 😉
Enjoy!

Ingredients:
15 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
3 (10 oz.) bags mini marshmallows
1 1/2 cubes of butter
2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 – 2 bags of wrapped caramels
2 Tbs of milk
1 bag chocolate chips, melted
I bag white chocolate chips, melted
Kosher salt, optional
Directions:
- Measure out cereal into a large bowl.
- In a large saucepan melt the butter, then add the marshmallows and melt very slowly! Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour over cereal and stir until completely coated. Press into a large buttered jelly roll pan.
- Unwrap caramels and melt slowly with the milk until smooth. Pour over krispie treats and spread until covered. Pour melted chocolates into two ziploc bags with the corner snipped off and drizzle over the caramel. Sprinkle with kosher salt, if desired. Allow to harden, or pop into the freezer to harden quickly.
